Don't know how to tell what you've got?  Click on the picture links below for an example of roof vs. porro prism binoculars.  Basically, a roof prism bino looks like two separate tubes (Swarovski EL, for example), whereas a porro prism looks like it has offset eyepieces from the main tubes.
