What is the breaking strength of D-Belts?

Print E-mail

We use Mil-Spec webbing that is super strong (6,000 lb test) and that doesn't include the strength of the additional liner portion.  The buckle is also Mil-Spec from Bourdon Forge, the top buckle forge in the USA.  We don't skimp on the materials or the construction.

We have do not rate the pull strength of these belts.  Typically, this style of construction will fail around 1,500 pounds because the stitching will fail.  We'll bet you any adult beverage our stitching will likely exceed the pain threshold of your back (well, our backs for sure!).

That being said, we have to tell you that we do not advocate using this or any other belt for a safety device!  If you need a safety device you shouldn't be looking at a belt.  Safety devices have many more points to distribute stress and shock than a belt.  Using a belt for safety is a great way to break your back.  Please don't do that.
