As mentioned in the product description, this spanner wrench was specially designed to fit behind the big muzzle brake and get to the spanner nut no matter how it is indexed.  Two ends are angled differently so you can always get a good purchase on the spanner nut.  The wings of the brake normally block a standard spanner wrench. 
 
Drive pins are adjustable to control the engagement depth, to prevent scratching the barrel.   Now you can take the brake off for cleaning, and index it perfectly every time!  Plus you can control how deep the brake is set, to get the most accuracy from the big AR.

Notes

This tool also fits the AR-15 Castle Nut grooves, and works great for installing / removing buffer tubes.
