Used at the 2013 FTR World Championship matches, helping the USA FTR Shooting Team to win their second Championship. CROSSTAC is now a proud sponsor of the USA FTR Shooting Team and excited to help outfit them in their quest for a third consecutive World Championship in 2017!
Unlike roll up mats with edges that constantly curl up when you deploy, our mat folds, unfolds and deploys flat instantly. It also stores flat... nicely sliding behind the seat of pickup, in your closet, on a shelf, etc. Superior quality foam rated to -75F so it wont crack, plus it's the perfect thickness & density for both comfort and stability. Perhaps the best feature: our unique, heavy duty bipod rail system will help give you more precision every time you squeeze off a round.

I had to remove the plastic carrying handles that covered the nylon straps because I wound up laying on top of them. Other than that this is a great mat.

This is a great mat. Just the right amount of padding and proper overall size. I have used what was apparently an earlier version and prefer the previous design without the rubber carry handles over the carrying canvas loops. When laying on the mat the new handles are uncomfortable at times. (Solved that problem by cutting them off by cutting lengthwise with a pair of scissors leaving the canvas handles intact.) Also as stated by another reviewer the bipod rail would be better if the stitching were reversed allowing for more of a lip for the bipod legs to grab. Depending on terrain, bipod tip design and amount of pressure applied legs can slip forward under certain conditions.
In spite of the above comments and suggestions this is still an overall great designed and executed mat and I would recommend it to all.
"F" T/R, this mat's for you!

Instant set-up and tear-down, a ridge to load your bipod. This is not the fluffy mattress often touted as a shooting mat, there's enough solidity to hold that rear bag in place without requiring readjustment after each shot.
well made and handy

very comfortable. very quick to put out and put away.
The only thing I think could be "better" would be to reverse the integral bipod "rail" - it would better allow bipod feet to snug up under it.

The Crosstac shooting mat cost a few dollars more than the roll-ups,but it is worth it. The flat fold-up deploys quickly and easily. The mat itself is comfortable enough to lay on septic gravel and that is no exaggeration; it's firm but comfortable for knees and elbows, and full body length. The material used for the outer cover appears to be something like ballistic nylon; it is rugged and the shooter can easily manuever his body on the mat. There is also the bipod "rail" built into the front most portion to load up the bipod Most shooters like to put a little pressure on the bipod. This feature would also work for F Class competition and even 500 yd egg shoots or groundhog competition. Don't let the women folk get their hands on it or it will end up at the beach.

In terms of size, durability, and ease of use this product is great. The front lip works perfect for pushing the bipod legs against to load the bipod. The only issue I have is the mat surface is rough on the skin after a day of shooting. Either a long sleeved shirt or a towel is needed to prevent rug burns to the elbows.
This is the best shooting mat that I have used, I tried 5 others before I found this one. I will not be looking for a new mat.
