The Crosstac Mk 109 muzzle brake is based on very extensive Army research into howitzer muzzle brake design. Their motivation, we think, was to find a way to reduce recoil so the howitzer could be built lighter and thus towed with lighter transport. Our motivation is to make a brake based on actual research and science.
We ended up with an amazing brake that has the secondary benefit of virtually eliminating muzzle climb. Check out the video below of it installed on an M4 shooting full auto, single handed, with zero muzzle climb.
This design is fully caliber specific. Meaning the ports are sized to caliber, not just generic holes in a piece of round stock! They are timed in distance from the muzzle crown based on caliber specific calculations per the research we all paid for!
You have to shoot this to believe it. See tech specs for the calibers available. Extra material at threaded end of brake to allow for gunsmith fitting and timing adjustment.
Please note: TRIDENT and 308 brakes available now, 6.5 and 6mm available for Pre-Order with approx. 1/15/19 delivery.

My .300 aac pistol, with a 6" barrel, had a lot of recoil and rise. Borderline dangerous with the mil spec A2 cage on it. So I tried some other brakes, and they did reduce it a bit. But this... this is a whole different category! Basically no recoil or muzzle rise in a .300 aac pistol is rare. But this is the real deal!!
I'll be using these from now on! Can't say enough good things! Strongly recommend!
Basically NO recoil or rise!

I was building a new pistols and wanted to reduce the recoil as much as possible. I thought to myself, surely someone has used military research in their product. Which began my search. Low and behold, I found this. The ONLY muzzle break I could find that actually used science to space the ports, not just what looks cool.
And let me tell you, this is a hidden gem!! Basically NO recoil or rise with my 7.5" barreled .556 pistol. It is shocking efficient!! With other brakes, it had a lot of kick and jump. But holy cow, this takes it all away!
These are easily one of the best brakes on the market, and I can't recommend this strongly enough!
Will be buying more in the future, 100%!
