Your shooting mat should give you a more precision shooting experience. Period. At Crosstac, we've come up with the most well thought out shooting mat on the planet... from its sturdy "first in the industry" bipod rail to its superior 100% USA built construction and materials (right down to the thread we use), our mat will help you be more accurate on any terrain. *Currently in use by multiple units across our military, homeland security, and border patrol agencies.
Used at the 2013 FTR World Championship matches, helping the USA FTR Shooting Team to win their second Championship. CROSSTAC is now a proud sponsor of the USA FTR Shooting Team and excited to help outfit them in their quest for a third consecutive World Championship in 2017!
Unlike roll up mats with edges that constantly curl up when you deploy, our mat folds, unfolds and deploys flat instantly. It also stores flat... nicely sliding behind the seat of pickup, in your closet, on a shelf, etc. Superior quality foam rated to -75F so it wont crack, plus it's the perfect thickness & density for both comfort and stability. Perhaps the best feature: our unique, heavy duty bipod rail system will help give you more precision every time you squeeze off a round.
- Integral bipod rail
- Open size 36" wide X 79" long
- Closed size approx. 36" long x 20" wide x 3" tall
- Panel design allows ability to carry a weapon in the mat.
- 1000-Denier Cordura, polyurethane coated inside for water resistance, repellant on outside
- Ultra premium foam rated to -20 degrees F
- 100% USA Made by the dedicated folks at Crosstac.
Comfy like a fox

This is my first shooting mat, but after looking at almost everything else on the market I decided to give it a try. I just need something large and comfortable for the range. If I was humping my gear I may want something a bit different but for lying prone for several hours it's awesome.
The folding feature makes it extremely convenient to pack up and will hold cardboard IDPA/other target flat to and from the range. The mat is really well thought out and built like a tank.
My only complaint would be that I would like to see the bipod rail sewn the opposite way. That orientation would allow bipod feet to get captured and prevent the feet from rolling over the bar. It's still completely functional but that's one thing I've observed so far. Thanks guys!
Thanks Andrew! The reason we sew it that way is twofold: one, it is the right height to hols a harris bipod and still get to the knobs - and two, there are 4 folded layers of 1000-D Cordura in a 2" strip there so the bipod legs won't ever wear through it ;-)

Finally got to use this mat, and was quite impressed. Its a bit bulky to carry out in the field, but lays flat in a flash. Small rocks are unnoticeable, and most of the grass burrs that we have here, either fall off ,or a light flick with a finger will get them off. the ridge in the front works well for "loading" your bipod, although I felt it could have been just a tad taller or maybe stiffer, but don't get me wrong, I LOVE this mat!! It's large enough for a rather large person(6'+) to shoot from without much leg contact with the ground. Beats the crap out of my old roll up mat!
Best shooting mat

I love my Crosstac shooting mat. It has a thicker padding than most mats because it doesn't have to roll up, but instead folds up. It is made of a thick quality material and it's design allows you to keep the mud-side down and protected when folded up, so it doesn't get the rest of my gear dirty when it is rolling around in the back of my truck. The front rod allows for a perfect position to anchor my bi-pods and take the perfect shot.
I liked it so much - I bought a second one.
